Introducing Cloud Capture, a faster, easier way to capture your own rig for ToneHub, entirely in the cloud. Create highly accurate captures in as little as 3 minutes, with no training running on your computer, no extra software to install, and nothing to configure. Cloud Capture is included at no extra cost with ToneHub All Access.
Capture your rig however you prefer. Run the Tracer Tone through your gear and upload the recording, upload an existing DI and reamped track, or use Live mode to record directly through your audio interface in the browser. Once your files are uploaded, training continues in the cloud even if you close the page or shut down your computer.
Every capture is automatically tested against your original recording and given an accuracy score, with an A/B player so you can hear the result for yourself. When it's ready, publish it directly to your ToneHub library and access it anywhere you're signed in, or share it on Discover for other ToneHub users to play.

Also in this release. Discover adds Collections, custom images for packs and presets, and new editing options: rename a pack or preset, change preset info, and move presets between packs. Presets can now be renamed and uploaded straight into a pack.
Amp and stomp captures can be renamed inside a Merged Trace. Clicking an artist's name in the header or a preset browser now opens their profile, and both the profile page and search results have been improved. The plugin loads quicker from a smaller install, alongside the usual round of fixes and refinements.

How does it work?
1. Install & Open the Plugin
- Download and install ToneHub on your computer.
- Open the Standalone version, no DAW required.
- Or load ToneHub as a plugin (VST, AU, or AAX) inside your favorite DAW.
2. Connect Your Guitar or Bass
- Plug your instrument into an audio interface.
- Ensure your DAW input settings are correctly configured.
3. Select a Preset
- Choose from thousands of professionally designed tones.
- Browse by artist packs, producer packs, or amp models.
- Customize further with gain, EQ, and effects controls.
4. Fine-Tune Your Sound
- Use the built-in stomp effects (overdrive, delay, reverb, modulation, etc.).
- Adjust amp settings like gain, tone, and presence.
5. Record or Play Live
- Use ToneHub to record directly into your DAW.

What equipment do I need?
To use ToneHub, you'll need the following:
1. A Compatible DAW (optional)
ToneHub is supported by all major DAWs on Mac and PC.
2. A Computer that Meets the System Requirements
- Mac: macOS 10.15 or later
- PC: Windows 10 or later
- RAM: At least 4GB (8GB+ recommended)
- Can also run standalone (without a DAW).
3. Audio Interface
- Converts your guitar/bass signal into a digital format for your computer. Examples:
- Budget: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, PreSonus AudioBox
- Mid-range: Universal Audio Volt 276, Audient iD4
- High-end: Apollo Twin, RME Babyface
- Make sure it has an instrument (Hi-Z) input!
- Set buffer size to 128-256 samples for low latency.
4. Guitar or Bass
- Any electric guitar or bass works.
- Works with single coils, humbuckers, active pickups.
- For best tone, use a high-quality cable to avoid signal loss.

The ToneHub Tracer is designed to capture the sound and feel of real guitar gear, allowing you to create digital tone replicas that can be used inside ToneHub.

What is Cloud Capture?
Cloud Capture is a way to capture your gear from your browser rather than inside the plugin, and it is included with every ToneHub subscription. You record your rig, we train the capture on our servers, and it is ready to play in ToneHub a few minutes later. Nothing to install, and nothing to leave running on your computer.
There are three ways to give it a recording:
- Tracer Tone: Reamp our test signal through your rig and upload what comes back.
- Dry and wet pair: Upload a DI you already have, along with its reamped take.
- Live: Play straight into the page through your audio interface.
Every capture is scored for accuracy, so you can hear and see how close it got before you use it. You can capture amps, cabs, stomps or a whole rig, add your gear details, and publish to ToneHub in a click.

How do I earn royalties?
Earning royalties with ToneHub is simple. Set up your Artists profile, upload your captures, and start monetizing your tones, all from within the plugin.
1. Get set up on the latest version
Make sure you're running the latest version of ToneHub, then get set up so you're ready
to start uploading captures.
2. Set up and monetize your Artists profile
- Open the plugin and click the My Profile icon in the left navigation panel.
- Create your STL Artists account and follow the setup steps.
- Click the Monetize My Captures button within the My Profile section of the plugin, then complete the account setup process to monetize your Artists profile.
3. Upload your captures
Upload your existing captures or start creating new ones directly inside the plugin by
clicking on the Capture My Gear icon in the left navigation panel.
You're all set!
Once uploaded, your captures go live instantly, and tracking begins automatically. The more
captures you share, the greater your reach, and the higher your potential royalty earnings.
